Guildford Advice Services (GAS) is a collaboration between advice agencies working in the Borough of Guildford.
GAS shares information on services available and looks for opportunities for agencies to work together better so that we can improve access to advice for those who need it.
GAS developed from a project funded by the Big Lottery through the Advice Services Transition Fund. The project had seven partners with Citizens Advice Guildford taking the lead.
Key deliverables included; needs analysis, improving awareness of services available, demonstrating the value of services, providing networking opportunities, piloting new services (e.g. Advice in GPs surgeries), communications activities, training, local social policy activities and seeking new funding opportunities.
