How to Access Our Services

As an HIV+ person, you may refer yourself to Positive Action or you can ask your consultant, social worker, GP or other professional support worker to contact us to make a referral.

As a carer, partner or family member of someone who is infected with HIV, you may refer yourself to Positive Action by getting in touch with us to talk to us first.

You can phone us on 01252 345019 (or our free phone number 0800 980 1990), or you can email us at enquiries@positiveaction.org.uk to begin a referral or just to speak to a member of the team about any concerns or queries you may have about registering with us.

A member of the team will make an initial appointment to meet with you to discuss in more detail the services we offer, and how we can further support you. Our physical addresses are only shared on a need to know basis so will not be given out until this 'induction' meeting has been scheduled. This initial meeting is likely to take place at one of our drop-in centres in Aldershot, Southampton or Portsmouth at a time when the service is closed to other service users.

In order to confirm membership eligibility, we may contact your primary health institution (Consultant / Clinical Nurse Specialist). If this is of concern to you, please let us know when we talk to you.

Positive Action's services are available to those living in Hampshire (including Southampton and Portsmouth) or Surrey only.
